Qinghai Silk Road and Qutan Temple Murals Exhibition Opens in Beijing

Beijing – An exhibition titled “Plateau Silk Road, Glory of Qutan — Qinghai Silk Road Cultural Relics and Qutan Temple Murals Art Exhibition” has opened at the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, also known as the China National Arts and Crafts Museum, in Beijing.

Featuring murals, cultural relics, historical documents, and visual media, the exhibition highlights the historical role of Qinghai and the Qutan Temple as vital bridges facilitating cultural exchange between Han and Tibetan peoples. It also showcases the enduring legacy of unity, mutual assistance, and harmonious coexistence among China’s diverse ethnic groups throughout history.

Organisers expressed hope that the artistic and historical depth of the exhibition will deepen public appreciation for this rich cultural heritage and inspire a collective commitment to its preservation. The exhibition runs through August 31, 2026.
