Free Endocrinology Camp Held in Swayambhu with Russian Support, Over Four Hundred Benefited

Kathmandu. The ‘Friends of RUDB’, an organisation of graduates from former Soviet and Russian universities active in Nepal, has conducted a free endocrinology health camp at a hospital in Swayambhu. More than four hundred residents of Kathmandu availed themselves of the services during the two-day camp.

According to the organisation, free screening and consultation for hormone-related ailments, including thyroid disorders and diabetes, were provided at the camp. A team of specialist doctors examined the patients and also dispensed necessary medicines.

The social organisations formed by Nepali graduates who studied at former Soviet and Russian universities are said to be strong and united in their activity across Nepal, regularly carrying out such philanthropic initiatives. The organising body expressed its commitment to continuing such service-oriented programmes in the health sector in the days to come.
