Dragon Media News Desk

Appeals concerning retakes of Russia’s Unified State Exam, known as the EGE, will not prevent students from gaining admission to universities, according to Anzor Muzaev, head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science.

In an interview with the Russian news agency TASS, Muzaev said the university admission process would not be affected by appeals filed against retake results.

He explained that even when students appeal the results of a retake, the review process and final decision will be completed within the deadlines established for university applications and admissions.

The EGE is Russia’s nationwide examination taken by students completing secondary education and is also used for university admission.
