China’s C919 to Begin First Regular International Service on August 12

China’s domestically developed large passenger aircraft, the C919, will begin its first regular international commercial service on August 12.
Air China has announced that it will operate the C919 on a daily round-trip route between Beijing, the capital of China, and Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. It will be the first scheduled international passenger route regularly operated with the C919.
According to the flight schedule, outbound flight CA723 will depart from Beijing Capital International Airport at 3:00 pm local time and arrive at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar at 5:15 pm.
Return flight CA724 will leave Ulaanbaatar at 6:30 pm and arrive in Beijing at 8:35 pm. Air China said tickets for the route are already on sale.
The C919 is a single-aisle large passenger aircraft developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, or COMAC. It completed its first commercial flight on the Shanghai–Beijing route on May 28, 2023.
The deployment of the C919 on the Beijing–Ulaanbaatar route is regarded as an important step in expanding the international commercial operations of China’s domestically developed aircraft.
