Russian Armed Forces units have developed methods to counter new Hornet-type unmanned aerial vehicles being used by the Ukrainian military, according to a Russian company commander.
The commander, identified by the call sign “Legion,” told the Russian news agency TASS that frontline units had achieved results in disrupting the drones’ control systems and forcing them to land safely.
However, no detailed information was released about the countermeasures used or their confirmed effectiveness.
According to the Russian side, Ukrainian forces have increased their use of Hornet-type drones, prompting Russian units to adapt their defensive measures. The commander also claimed that the new drones would not alter the overall course of the conflict.
TASS published the report alongside video footage recorded by journalist Danil Derkaev.
There was no immediate response from the Ukrainian side, and the battlefield claims have not been independently verified.
