Italian Mafia Seeks to Buy Drone Munitions Used by Ukraine

Italian mafia groups are attempting to purchase munitions used by Ukraine for drones, TASS reported.
Italian news agency ANSA, citing Palermo’s chief prosecutor, said criminal groups were seeking access to drone-related munitions currently being used in Ukraine. Details about the groups involved, the quantity sought or possible supply routes have not been disclosed.
Earlier, German newspaper Berliner Zeitung warned that weapons supplied to Ukraine could spread into Europe’s black market in the absence of proper monitoring and control.
The latest report comes amid continuing concerns that weapons and ammunition delivered to Ukraine could eventually reach illegal criminal networks in Europe.
