Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo has claimed that Ukrainian armed forces adopted a new method of planting explosives on roads by concealing them inside the carcasses of animals.
According to Russia’s state news agency TASS, Saldo said in a post on his official Telegram channel that explosive devices had been hidden inside dead animals and placed along roadsides or in areas used by vehicles.
He described those responsible for devising such a method as cruel and urged drivers to exercise extreme caution and avoid approaching suspicious objects or animal carcasses found near roads.
Saldo also called on residents to immediately inform the relevant security and emergency authorities if they notice any potential threat.
Ukrainian authorities have not issued an immediate formal response to the claim.
