Home Minister Gurung Offers Prayers at Major Temples in Janakpurdham

Home Minister Sudan Gurung has visited and offered prayers at several religious sites in Janakpurdham, including the Janaki Temple.

Gurung, who arrived in Janakpurdham on Saturday, visited the Janaki Temple, Ram Temple and Rajdevi Temple on Sunday morning.

He travelled to the city amid heightened religious and communal tension in different parts of the Tarai following the incident in Sunsari.

On Saturday, the home minister held talks with representatives of various Hindu organizations. The discussions reportedly focused on the latest situation, measures to preserve social harmony and ways to reduce tension.

Gurung urged all sides to exercise restraint, avoid provocative activities and cooperate in maintaining religious and social harmony.
