Russian Air Defenses Destroy 456 Ukrainian Drones Overnight, Casualties Reported in Nizhnekamsk

Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 456 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over multiple regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the drones were destroyed over the Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod, Oryol, Voronezh, Rostov, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Orenburg, Samara, Moscow, Krasnodar and Tatarstan regions, as well as over Crimea.
Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar said that more than 70 drones were destroyed overnight over Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and the Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Kamensky, Sholokhovsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Belokalitvinsky and Tarasovsky districts.
Tula Region Governor Dmitry Milyaev said nine Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the region. Kaluga Region Governor Vladislav Shapsha reported that air defenses destroyed 16 drones, while Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said 11 drones were downed over his region.
Meanwhile, industrial and civilian facilities in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, came under a large-scale drone attack, according to the press service of the regional leadership.
Casualties were reported in the attack, although the available information did not specify the number. Tatarstan subsequently declared a period of mourning.
In the Voronezh Region, debris from a drone caused a fire in an outbuilding in one district. Windows in a private house were shattered, while heating pipes and a fence were also damaged, Governor Gusev said.
Two other private properties sustained damage to fences and windows, while the facade of another building was struck by fragments. Regional authorities said no injuries were reported in those incidents.
In one municipality, windows were damaged in nine private houses, two of which will require repairs to gas pipelines. Three cars and a tractor were also damaged.
In another district, the impact of a drone blew out windows on two floors of a residential building.
Authorities are continuing inspections of the affected sites and assessments of the damage.
