Russian forces struck a Ukrainian military airfield as well as fuel, energy and transport infrastructure used by Ukrainian troops over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
According to the ministry, operational-tactical aircraft, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery units from Russian battlegroups carried out coordinated attacks against a range of targets.
The ministry said the strikes targeted fuel and energy facilities, transport infrastructure used by Ukrainian forces and a military airfield.
It also said temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and individuals described by Moscow as foreign mercenaries were among the targets.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, strikes were carried out at a total of 164 locations during the 24-hour period.
The ministry did not provide a detailed assessment of the damage caused by the attacks.
Russia and Ukraine have both continued to target military facilities and infrastructure they say supports opposing military operations, including energy and transport networks.
There was no immediate detailed response from the Ukrainian side to the latest Russian Defence Ministry statement. Battlefield claims by either side are often difficult to independently verify in real time.
