Yabloko May Be Allowed to Participate in TV and Radio Airtime Draw for Elections

Russia’s Central Election Commission has said the Yabloko political party may be allowed to participate in the draw for television and radio airtime allocated for election campaigning.

According to a TASS report citing a source in the Central Election Commission, Yabloko could take part in the draw scheduled for August 18 if a court decision cancelling the registration of the party’s federal candidate list has not entered into legal force by that date.

The party’s participation in the allocation of television and radio airtime will therefore depend on whether the court ruling becomes legally effective before the August 18 draw.
