Dragon Media News Desk

Air China, China’s flag carrier, will launch a new air service connecting Beijing with Bucharest, the capital of Romania, and Zagreb, Croatia’s main city, starting September 4.

According to the airline, the new service will operate from Beijing Capital International Airport to Zagreb via Bucharest, with flights scheduled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The route forms part of Air China’s broader strategy to expand its European network and increase flight capacity. The airline launched a direct Beijing-Venice service in July as part of the same network expansion.

The new route is expected to further strengthen air connectivity between China and Central and Southeast Europe, while facilitating tourism, trade and people-to-people exchanges with Romania and Croatia.

Air China currently serves 27 destinations across Europe and operates nearly 260 flights each week on its European network.
