China Ready to Advance Nepal-China Relations on Basis of Mutual Respect and Mutual Benefit: Ambassador Zhang Maoming

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming has said China has consistently followed the path of peaceful development and believes that all countries, regardless of their size, strength or level of economic development, should respect one another, treat each other as equals and coexist peacefully.
Speaking at a program related to the Nepal-China Friendship Short Video Competition, Ambassador Zhang said China is ready to work with Nepal on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit to further advance bilateral relations.

He said China is also prepared to implement the important understandings reached between the two countries and continue advancing the building of a Nepal-China community with a shared future.
Ambassador Zhang said that in the digital age, short audiovisual content can transcend barriers of language, distance and culture and reach a broad audience within seconds.
He expressed satisfaction that this year’s Nepal-China Friendship Short Video Competition received a large number of entries and praised participants for presenting diverse dimensions of Nepal-China relations as well as the natural and cultural beauty of the two countries.
Highlighting the emotion and warmth conveyed through audiovisual content, Ambassador Zhang said Nepal-China relations are not confined to political understandings recorded in diplomatic documents.
He said the relationship also remains alive through extensive cooperation, exchanges and visits between the peoples of the two countries.
Awards and honors were presented to the winners of the Nepal-China Friendship Short Video Competition during the program.
Dipesh Syangdan won first place in the competition and received a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
The event was attended by leaders from various political parties, diplomats, business representatives and personalities from different sectors.
