ACC Premier Cup: Nepal Face Hosts Malaysia in Second Match

Nepal will face hosts Malaysia today in their second match of the third edition of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Premier Cup.

The 50-over match will be played at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval in Bangi, Malaysia, and is scheduled to begin at 7:15 AM Nepal time.

Nepal made a winning start to the tournament by defeating Bahrain by seven wickets in their opening match and will enter the contest against Malaysia with confidence.

Nepal are aiming to win the tournament and secure a place in the 2027 Asia Cup.

A total of 10 teams are competing in the tournament. Nepal are in Group A alongside Bahrain, Hong Kong, hosts Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Group B consists of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Singapore.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The match against Malaysia will therefore be important for Nepal as they seek to strengthen their position in the group stage.
