Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Contributes Rs 601,000 for Bhote Koshi Flood Victims

The Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry has contributed Rs 601,000 to support people affected by the devastating Rasuwa-Bhote Koshi flood.

Of the total amount, Rs 151,000 was contributed from the chamber’s fund, while the entire elected executive committee contributed an additional Rs 450,000.

A cheque for the total amount was handed over on Thursday to the Chief District Officer at the District Administration Office, Banke.

The chamber said the assistance was provided as part of its humanitarian and social responsibility to stand with families who have lost relatives, homes and property in the Bhote Koshi disaster.

While acknowledging that the losses caused by the disaster are immense and irreparable, the chamber expressed confidence that support from the government, private sector, social organizations and citizens can contribute to the relief and rehabilitation of affected families.
