Chinese Ambassador Zhang Maoming Visits Citizen Rescued from Upper Trishuli-1 Tunnel

A team from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, led by Ambassador Zhang Maoming, has visited a Chinese national who was rescued from a tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project.

The embassy delegation visited the Birendra Military Hospital in Chhauni to meet the rescued citizen and receive an update on his health condition and ongoing treatment.

The Chinese national was rescued alive on Saturday from a tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project.

He had been trapped inside the tunnel following the devastating Bhotekoshi floods on August 26.

After being rescued, he was taken to Birendra Military Hospital for treatment.

The Chinese Embassy said it was continuing to closely follow his health condition and treatment.
