Monsoon Remains Active Nationwide, Heavy Rain Possible in Several Provinces

Monsoon conditions remain active across Nepal, with the monsoon trough currently positioned north of its normal location, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
The country is generally cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall occurring at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
During the day, generally cloudy conditions are expected nationwide. Some areas in the Himalayan region and many places in the hills are likely to receive light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
Moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is also possible at many places in the Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, at some places in the Tarai of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in Madhes Province.
Heavy rainfall is possible at one or two places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the hills of Karnali Province, and the hilly and Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Generally cloudy conditions are expected to continue across the country tonight. Some places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a few places in the Himalayan areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces may receive moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
Many places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, along with some areas in the hills of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, are also likely to experience moderate rainfall.
Rain with thunderstorms is expected at many places in the Tarai areas of Madhes and Koshi provinces and at some places in the Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The division said heavy rainfall is possible tonight at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in the Tarai areas of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
