Radiation Situation at Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant Remains Stable

The radiation situation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and in the surrounding area remains stable, according to the facility’s press service.
The plant’s security systems continue to operate normally, and no violations of established safe operating limits or conditions have been recorded, the press service said.
“The radiation situation at the Zaporozhye NPP and in the surrounding area remains stable and is consistent with natural background levels,” the statement said.
The nuclear power plant is currently receiving external electricity solely through the Ferrosplavnaya-1 power transmission line, the press service added.
Although the plant’s safety systems remain operational, its reliance on a single external power line leaves the facility’s electricity supply infrastructure in a potentially vulnerable position.
