Students Stage Protest with Empty Gas Cylinders Outside Singha Durbar

Students staged a protest outside Singha Durbar on Wednesday, demanding an immediate solution to the prolonged shortage of cooking gas.

The protest was organized by the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary), affiliated with the Nepali Communist Party, in front of the southern gate of Singha Durbar.

Participants carried empty gas cylinders on their shoulders and chanted slogans against the government. They demanded that the authorities end the continuing gas shortage and ensure a smooth and reliable supply to consumers.

During the demonstration, police personnel deployed for security seized the gas cylinders carried by the protesters.

The protest came amid growing public frustration over the shortage of cooking gas, which has disrupted daily life and increased pressure on the government to restore normal supply.
