Three years have passed since the latest phase of the Gaza conflict began. On Wednesday, October 7, the third anniversary was marked by scenes of displaced families living in makeshift tent camps, people spending time along the seashore and children in Gaza City.

Xinhua photographs also showed Israeli military vehicles moving inside Gaza. In Tel Aviv, Israel, people visited a memorial site for those killed in the conflict. Participants also gathered for a memorial event at a cemetery near Israel’s southern border.

A table at a street café in Tel Aviv bore the Hebrew words, “We will not forget October 7.” Images of families and children living in makeshift tents in Gaza, alongside memorial events in Israel, showed the different settings in which the third anniversary was marked.
