‘Tunnel 26’ Postponed; ‘Akshara’ Gets a Solo Release

Dragon Media Correspondent
Nepali film Akshara began its theatrical run on Friday as a solo release after the last-minute postponement of Tunnel 26: The Curse Beneath the Mountain, a Nepal-Bhutan-India co-production.
Tunnel 26 had been scheduled to open in cinemas in Nepal and Bhutan on October 9. Its producers have put the release on hold while considering a simultaneous international launch in multiple languages. A new release date has not been announced.
The postponement reshaped a release slate in which both films had been expected to arrive on the same day.
