Maharashtra Public Service Commission Chief Takes Leave Amid Paper Leak Probe

Dragon Media News Desk

Maharashtra Public Service Commission chairman Vivek Bhimanwar has gone on leave pending an inquiry into allegations of examination irregularities and question-paper leaks. The state government has formed a high-level committee headed by former judge Dilip Bhosale, with senior official Tukaram Mundhe serving as its secretary.

Candidates had protested in Pune for 10 days over alleged malpractice in government recruitment examinations. They ended their agitation after the state agreed to investigate. The allegations have yet to be determined by the inquiry.
