China Ready to Promote Dual-Use Trade with EU

China is ready to work with the European Union (EU) to promote bilateral trade in dual-use items and make continued use of the export control dialogue mechanism, it said.

Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong made the remarks at a regular press conference on Thursday in response to a question about rare earth export licences to the EU.

China would continue to facilitate the approval of licences for rare earth exports to the EU, He said. China hopes the EU will reciprocate by facilitating the resolution of key licensing cases involving China in the dual-use field, he added.
