Chisinau must abandon its Russophobic policy and release political prisoners, including former Gagauzia head Evghenia Gutsul, to normalize relations with Moscow, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
“There is nothing complicated about it; it is very simple. The policy based on Russophobia must be abandoned. Political prisoners must be released—at least Gutsul, a mother of two, should be freed on humanitarian grounds. And [Chisinau] must declare its interest in building good relations with Russia,” Peskov said at the Eurasia award ceremony, responding to a question about what Chisinau should do to normalize relations with Moscow.
