Himesh Pant and Bidari Family Make Conflicting Claims in Land Dispute

Dragon Media Newsroom
A dispute over land ownership has emerged between Rastriya Swatantra Party leader and comedian Himesh Pant and the family of Tilak Prasad Bidari. Tilak’s son, Prakash, alleges that the Pant family took over their land. Himesh denies the allegation and says his family was wronged.
Prakash says the land ownership certificate, a district court order and tax payment records support his family’s claim. He alleges that the land was transferred to his father after Himesh’s father was unable to repay a loan. Prakash says he is open to settling the dispute through fair compensation or by selling the land at its current market value.
Himesh has said he was seven years old when the disputed events took place and that the issue is being raised to damage his political reputation. He claims the Bidari family deceived his father and has threatened to seek legal recourse.
The land ownership and the documents cited by both sides have not been independently verified. The dispute remains unresolved.
