Elante signs three-year exclusive distribution agreement with Jihua 3514

Elante Import and Export Trade Pvt. Ltd. has signed a three-year exclusive agency and distribution agreement with China’s Jihua 3514 Leather and Shoes Co., Ltd., paving the way for the Chinese footwear company to enter the Nepali market.

The agreement documents were exchanged on Friday during a programme at Jihua 3514’s office in Shijiazhuang, China. Jhak Bahadur Mall “Sudip,” a central committee member of the Nepali Communist Party and managing director of Elante, represented the Nepali company.

Under the agreement, Elante will serve as the exclusive agent and distributor for Jihua 3514 footwear in Nepal for three years. The partnership is expected to introduce Nepali consumers to additional footwear choices and create new opportunities for trade between Nepal and China.

Jihua 3514, established in 1939, is based in Shijiazhuang. Its entry into Nepal will give it access to a market where consumer acceptance will depend on factors such as pricing, design, quality, availability and after-sales service.

For Elante, the agreement marks an expansion into international trade alongside its work in Nepal. Its success in the domestic market will depend on building an effective distribution network and matching the products to local demand.
