Iran’s resolve for comprehensive defense against US-Israel’s ‘adventurism’
"President Pezeskian warns Pakistan during phone call."

Tehran — Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Iran is firmly resolved to defend itself broadly against any repeated ‘adventurism’ by the US and Israel. He issued this warning during a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the Iranian President’s Office, the two leaders discussed regional developments, ongoing peace talks in Islamabad, and issues related to the ceasefire that has been in effect for two weeks. Pezeshkian warned that any new adventurous steps taken by the US and Israel would have serious consequences for the security of the West Asian region and the world.
The Iranian President accused the US of continuously breaking its commitments throughout the peace talks and ceasefire period. He condemned the ‘provocative and illegal’ act of imposing a so-called naval blockade on Iran as a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement and contrary to the UN Charter. Pezeshkian said, “Such actions and the threatening rhetoric of US officials towards Iran have only further increased Tehran’s doubts about Washington’s seriousness and exposed the fact that the US is trying to repeat old patterns and betray diplomacy.”
Appeal for Pakistan’s mediation and cooperation with neighboring countries
The Iranian President emphasized Iran’s commitment to maintaining and improving relations with all neighboring countries based on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect. He expressed hope that, in light of recent experiences, regional and neighboring nations should strive to ensure regional peace and security through collective cooperation and, in particular, stay away from the ‘destructive’ interventions of external powers like the US.
In response, Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif informed about Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to end the conflict and establish peace in the region. He also apprised the Iranian President about his recent consultations with regional countries in this regard.
Tension escalates in the Strait of Hormuz: Iranian cargo ship seized by US vessel, retaliatory drone attack by Iran
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Sunday, claiming that the US military had intercepted and seized an Iranian-flagged cargo ship attempting to break the blockade in the Gulf of Oman. According to him, the ship, named ‘Tusca’, was approximately 900 feet long and weighed as much as an aircraft carrier. Trump said, “Our destroyer gave them proper warning to stop, but when the Iranian crew defied, our navy punctured their engine room and stopped the ship right there. Now US Marines have taken control of the ship.”
According to the latest news reports, Iran has launched drone attacks on US military vessels in retaliation for the seizure of its ship by the US. Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces had already warned that US ‘armed piracy’ would be ‘responded to soon’. In this context, Iran has also stated that it has completely blocked the Strait of Hormuz and any ship or tanker passing through the area without Iranian permission will face restrictions.
