‘Drone Attack in Syzran: Building Collapses, Trump Announces Ceasefire Extension with Iran but Tehran Rejects’

MOSCOW — International concern is growing over the collapse of a multi-story building structure in the Russian city of Syzran following a drone attack. According to the Russian news agency TASS, details of the attack have been made public, but casualty figures have not yet been released. Russia has condemned the incident as an act of terrorism, while the international community has become alert to the situation.

In another significant development, US President Donald Trump has announced an extension of the ceasefire period with Iran. However, Iran immediately reacted, making it clear that it does not recognize the ceasefire unilaterally declared by the United States. According to international analysts, the conflict appears unlikely to be resolved without direct negotiations between Trump and Iran’s supreme leadership. This situation has further escalated tensions in the Middle East.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has accused European partner countries of being unwilling to provide necessary assistance on the Ukraine issue. Meanwhile, according to Bloomberg, following controversial remarks made by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen regarding Turkey, the Commission is now devising a strategy to backtrack. This is being seen as an attempt at “political damage control” by the Commission.
