Lavrov and Pakistani Deputy PM Hold Telephone Talks: Russia Praises Pakistan’s Mediation Role in Iran-U.S. Agreements, Ready to Support Efforts

Moscow — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Thursday.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two sides discussed current aspects of Russian-Pakistani cooperation and exchanged views on the situation in the Persian Gulf.

Lavrov praised Islamabad’s mediation role in reaching sustainable agreements between Iran and the United States and confirmed Russia’s readiness to support these efforts.

During the talks, both sides reportedly emphasized the importance of a lasting diplomatic solution for regional peace and stability.
