United Resolve for a Multipolar World

Kathmandu — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that there is a mutual desire to develop relations with Muslim countries into a multifaceted partnership.
Addressing the organisers, participants and guests of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” which commenced on Monday in Kazan, Russia, Minister Lavrov expressed his delight that Kazan has once again provided a suitable platform for dialogue between cultures, religions and civilisations.
He made it clear that both sides are committed to building a multipolar world based on the universally recognised principles of international law, equality, mutual respect and diversity of development models. Lavrov noted that the Forum will help promote trade and economic ties, implement investment projects, create logistics routes, and establish technological alliances.
Mentioning that the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” is contributing to these joint efforts, he extended his best wishes for the success of the Forum.
