Lavrov Marks 70 Years of Russia–Tunisia Diplomatic Relations, Voices Confidence in Stronger Cooperation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has sent a message of greetings to Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Tunisia.

In the message dated July 11, Lavrov said relations between the two countries are rooted in long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual respect.

He noted that Russia and Tunisia have accumulated extensive experience in multifaceted bilateral cooperation over the past decades and that this partnership continues to develop steadily.

Lavrov also highlighted the closely aligned positions of the two countries on key regional and international issues.

He expressed confidence that Russian–Tunisian cooperation would continue to strengthen for the benefit of both nations and contribute to promoting stability and security in Africa and the Mediterranean region.

Lavrov wished Nafti good health and success in carrying out his responsibilities, while extending his best wishes for the well-being and prosperity of the friendly people of Tunisia.
