Vietnam Renames Central Commission, Transfers Mass Mobilization Duties

The Politburo of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam has renamed the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization as the Central Commission for Information and Education.

According to the Vietnam News Agency, the decision was signed on Friday and took effect on Saturday.

Under the new arrangement, policy advisory, coordination and other responsibilities related to mass mobilization will be transferred from the commission to the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.

Following the restructuring, the commission will focus primarily on information, education, ideological guidance and public communication.

The Vietnam News Agency said the reorganization was intended to clarify responsibilities and improve coordination among institutions within the Party structure.
