Tropical Depression to Bring Rain to Most Parts of the Philippines

Dragon Media News Desk

A newly formed tropical depression is expected to bring rain to most parts of the Philippines, according to the country’s weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the system was located about 130 kilometers east of Aurora Province on Luzon Island as of 4:00 am on Monday.

The tropical depression was reported to be almost stationary, with rainfall expected across several parts of the country.

The Philippines experiences frequent typhoons and tropical cyclones each year and remains highly vulnerable to natural disasters.

PAGASA advised operators of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels to take necessary precautions before venturing out to sea.
