CPN-UML to Fully Digitize Party Membership System

The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has decided to fully digitize its party membership system.

Information about the digital membership initiative was presented during a membership-related workshop organized by the party’s Capital Province Committee at its headquarters in Chyasal on Wednesday under the “Mission Party Awakening” campaign.

The party said the digital action plan was introduced to strengthen its relationship with the public and make the organization more active at the grassroots level.

Party Secretary Dr. Rajan Bhattarai said digital systems would be used extensively to manage party records, organizational status, information, reports and public engagement.

According to him, all levels of the party will be encouraged to use digital platforms effectively for organizational work, information exchange and expanding public contact.

The party leadership has also decided to conduct training programs at ward and municipal levels to enhance the political awareness and capabilities of leaders and cadres.

Party Secretary Bhanubhakta Dhakal said digitization was necessary to protect membership records and other important documents from natural disasters and other crises.

He expressed confidence that the digital membership system would make the party’s record management safer, more systematic and efficient.
