Prime Minister Balendra Shah has urged the public not to panic, issuing a brief statement on social media late Friday night.

Shah posted the message at 11:06 p.m. amid growing criticism, including from some lawmakers within the ruling side.

He indicated that the reality of the situation may sometimes differ from what is being heard or seen publicly and suggested that reaching the right moment or outcome may require some time.

“It may take time, but it will not be wrong,” Shah wrote.

Appealing for patience, he added, “Sometimes the reality can be different from what is heard and seen.”

The Prime Minister also suggested that difficult circumstances may at times require one to stand and fight alone, while indicating that he has faced similar situations before.

“Sometimes you have to fight alone, but this is not the first time,” he wrote.

Shah’s latest remarks appear to convey a message of patience, confidence and resolve amid ongoing political debate and increasing pressure on the government.
