Xiaomi Launches Redmi 17 Series in Nepal with 7,500mAh Battery and 120Hz Display

Xiaomi has launched its new Redmi 17 Series in Nepal, introducing the Redmi 17 and Redmi 17 5G smartphones.

The series is designed around long battery life, a smooth 120Hz display and durability for everyday use, with a 7,500mAh battery serving as one of its main highlights.

According to the company, the large-capacity battery is intended to support extended video streaming, gaming and day-long smartphone use. Both models support 45W turbo charging.

The phones also feature 22.5W reverse charging, allowing users to use the smartphone as a power bank to charge devices such as earbuds, smartwatches or another phone.

Both the Redmi 17 and Redmi 17 5G come with a 6.9-inch HD display and a 120Hz refresh rate, designed to provide smoother scrolling, gaming and video playback.

In terms of performance, the Redmi 17 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor, while the Redmi 17 5G uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform for faster connectivity. Both smartphones run Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and support up to 12GB of RAM through memory extension.

For photography, both models feature a 50-megapixel AI dual-camera system and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other features include dual-view video recording, dual stereo speakers with up to 300 percent volume boost, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC and IP64-rated dust and water resistance.

Weighing around 232 grams, the smartphones are designed for convenient everyday use and to withstand normal exposure to dust, sunlight and water.

The Redmi 17 is available in Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green and Lotus Purple. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 27,999, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB version costs Rs 33,999.

The Redmi 17 5G is available in Black, Deep Blue and Vivid Orange. Its 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 33,999, the 4GB RAM and 256GB version at Rs 37,999, and the 6GB RAM and 256GB variant at Rs 41,999.
