Popular Indian Singer Navjot Ahuja Arrives in Kathmandu for Concert

Popular Indian singer Navjot Ahuja has arrived in Kathmandu for a live musical performance.

He reached the capital on Tuesday to perform at a concert being organised to mark the first anniversary of Club Nova in Thamel. Ahuja is scheduled to perform for Nepali audiences on Wednesday night.

This is Ahuja’s first professional visit to Nepal. Speaking to journalists after arriving in Kathmandu, he expressed his admiration for Nepal and Nepali culture and said he was excited to meet local audiences.

“This is my first visit to Nepal, but I really like this country. I also have some knowledge of its culture. I am excited to meet the Nepali audience,” he said.

Ahuja also said that he listens to Nepali songs and described the opportunity to perform in Nepal as a special experience.

Club Nova invited the singer as part of celebrations marking its first anniversary. The programme is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm on Wednesday.

Ahuja is particularly known for his song “Khat,” which includes the popular line, “Tere liye mandir jaaun, tere naam ka diya jalaun.”

With Indian music enjoying a large following in Nepal, Ahuja’s first live performance in Kathmandu is expected to attract significant interest, particularly among younger audiences.
