The Chinese national flag at the embassy was flown at half-mast as a mark of respect for the victims of the disaster.

In a message issued on the occasion, the embassy expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal and said China and Nepal would continue to stand together in difficult times.

“China and Nepal will always stand together with hope and resilience, overcoming the difficulties and rebuilding our homes together,” the embassy said.
