Putin, Aliyev Discuss Bilateral Cooperation, Agree to Intensify Contacts

Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation on Monday.

During the call, the two leaders discussed a number of current issues related to trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan.

They also agreed to intensify bilateral contacts at various levels.

Russia and Azerbaijan have maintained regular dialogue in recent years across trade, energy, transport, regional connectivity and humanitarian cooperation.

Monday’s telephone conversation indicated the continuation of high-level engagement on practical aspects of bilateral relations.
