Russia Says Kyiv Facilities Linked to Drone Production Hit

Russian forces struck facilities in Kyiv that Moscow says were involved in the production, assembly and storage of components for Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The ministry said one of the targets was an enterprise engaged in producing and storing components for “Hornet” attack drones.

It also said Russian forces struck a commercial and warehouse complex in Kyiv where Shark reconnaissance drones and medium-range attack drones were allegedly being assembled.

The information was reported by the Russian news agency TASS, citing the Ministry of Defence.

Russia has increasingly identified drone manufacturing sites, storage facilities and related logistics infrastructure in Ukraine as priority military targets as unmanned systems have assumed a growing role in the conflict.

Ukraine has also expanded its use of long-range drones against targets in Russia and in areas linked to Russian military operations, making UAV production and supply infrastructure an increasingly important element of the broader war.

The Russian statement did not provide a detailed assessment of the damage caused by the strikes.
