Peng Liyuan Highlights Cultural Exchange During U.S. Visit

Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, took part in cultural exchange activities during his state visit to the United States. She visited the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art in Washington with U.S. First Lady Melania Trump. Their visit brought public and cultural ties into focus alongside talks between the two presidents.

At the museum, Peng met American young people interested in Chinese language and culture. According to the Chinese side, she encouraged them to continue their studies and help strengthen friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
