Russia Marks Nuclear Industry Workers’ Day

Russia marked Nuclear Industry Workers’ Day on September 28, recognising scientists, engineers, technicians and other professionals who contribute to the development and safe use of nuclear energy.
A message marking the occasion emphasised the people behind the industry’s reactors, research and technology. It recognised the knowledge and responsibility of professionals working in power generation, construction, radiation safety, medicine, education and other fields.
The message thanked veterans who helped build the industry and expressed confidence in the younger professionals developing its future technologies. It also called for nuclear technology to serve peace, progress and development.
