The 17th-century warship Vasa is the centrepiece of the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, Sweden. The ship, artifacts and themed exhibits tell the story of its construction, sinking and recovery.
Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628. Salvaged more than 300 years later, it is considered one of the best-preserved 17th-century ships in the world.
Visitors to the museum on October 5, 2026, viewed the original ship, a reconstruction model, exhibits on its recovery and sculptures from the vessel.
