China and UK Discuss Expanding Economic and Financial Cooperation

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and British Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey held a video call on Thursday to discuss expanding economic and financial cooperation between the two countries, Xinhua reported.
He, who leads the Chinese side in the China–UK Economic and Financial Dialogue, said the two countries should jointly implement important agreements reached by their leaders. He called for stronger exchanges and cooperation in economic and financial affairs, mutual respect for each other’s core interests, and efforts to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
He said these steps would help ensure stable and positive development in bilateral economic relations. Healey, who leads the British side in the dialogue, said the UK was willing to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with China in economic and financial affairs and to advance relations between the two countries.
