What Drishyam 3’s Box-Office Run Says About Franchise Value

Dragon Media News Desk
Hindi-language film Drishyam 3 has posted a strong opening-week performance. The Indian Express, citing industry tracker Sacnilk, reported a worldwide gross of 3.665 billion Indian rupees by the film’s sixth day.
Starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat, the film is the third instalment in the Hindi Drishyam series, which began in 2015. Audience interest in familiar characters and a continuing storyline points to the commercial value of an established franchise. But first-week figures alone cannot determine a film’s final performance or the series’ long-term prospects.
The result may encourage producers to extend proven properties. Any further instalment will still need to balance the appeal of continuity with a fresh story and audience expectations.
