UK Backs Zelenskyy Amid Tensions Between the United States and Ukraine

As tensions grow between the United States and Ukraine over Washington’s decision on Russian diesel trade, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has expressed full solidarity with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During a phone call with Zelenskyy on Saturday, Burnham reiterated his full support, noting that the previous 24 hours had been difficult for Ukraine, the British prime minister’s office said.

Burnham said Britain would continue to strengthen sanctions against Russia and take further steps to weaken the Russian war machine. The two leaders also agreed to meet in person in the coming days to continue their discussions.
