Dragon Media News Desk

According to a report published by Jana Aastha, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Khagendra Sunar has been accused of luring a woman with a promise of marriage, making an explicit video of her, using it to blackmail her, demanding money and threatening to kill her. The report identifies the woman as a former state minister in Bagmati Province.

Jana Aastha said it had obtained four audio recordings. According to the report, the woman can be heard saying that Sunar made an explicit video of her and subjected her to repeated mental and physical abuse. The report also alleges that Sunar pressured her to resign and demanded that she send him money by that evening.

Jana Aastha reported that banking records showed transfers from countries including the United Kingdom, Japan and India into accounts associated with Sunar. The outlet said it had obtained 480 pages of transaction records. However, the report also said the purpose of the transfers was unclear. The records alone do not establish the source of the money or prove any wrongdoing.

According to the report, Jana Aastha tried to obtain Sunar’s response, but his phone was switched off. His personal secretary initially said Sunar was busy at an event and later said he was in another vehicle, so the outlet was unable to speak with him. The allegations and the audio and banking records cited in the report have not been independently verified for this article.
