He stressed that the technology should be developed, applied and governed in ways that benefit all humanity.
Ding welcomed the representatives’ support for and participation in the development of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, saying it could help promote shared prosperity and safeguard common security. He noted that the advisory board has served for 26 years as an important platform for dialogue, exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries, and encouraged its members to contribute further to China’s education sector and economic development.
The representatives, including advisory board chair Tim Cook, praised China’s achievements in AI and other fields. They said they would remain committed to the Chinese market, expand cooperation and strengthen the board’s role as a bridge between China and the international community.
Founded in October 2000, the Tsinghua SEM advisory board comprises global business executives, business school deans and scholars. It aims to help the school become a world-class institution by strengthening its teaching and research capabilities.
