Dragon Media Newsroom
Prakash, the son of Tilak Prasad Bidari, has alleged that members of comedian Himesh Pant’s family have forcibly occupied his family’s land in Ward 7 of Thakre Rural Municipality, Dhading.

According to Prakash, his father bought the land in 2056 and 2057 BS and farmed it until 2061 BS. He claims that Subba Pant, Himesh’s father, and other family members then prevented them from using it. Prakash said his family holds documents establishing ownership and has filed complaints with the administration, local authorities and police, but has not received a resolution.

Prakash also said he was attacked with a khukuri and filed a complaint alleging attempted murder. Himesh’s uncle, Krishna Prasad Pant, told Jana Aastha that he had not occupied the land; he said his elder brother, Himesh’s father, had done so and suggested asking Himesh about the matter. Jana Aastha reported that Himesh’s phone was switched off when it tried to seek his response.
