Vučić Claims Student List Will Impose Sanctions on Russia

Dragon Media News Desk

Former Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has claimed that the Student List, which won the recent parliamentary election, will impose sanctions on Russia by March or April. Speaking on Sunday at the Serbian Progressive Party headquarters, he described the election as a revolution carried out with direct support from several European countries and the “US deep state.” He provided no evidence for the allegation.

Vučić said his greatest concern was that the incoming government might impose sanctions on Russia. He also accused the Student List of planning to do things he said he had been unwilling to disclose.

The Student List had previously said Serbia would maintain its policy of not imposing sanctions on Russia. Preliminary election results show the list winning a majority, but the final official results have yet to be released.
